Kenya arrival

Over 24 hours of travel and we are in Nairobi. Had a Guinness at Heathrow at the halfway point, bit of drama between clearing customs and arriving at the hotel, but otherwise a fairly uneventful day of flying. Which is EXACTLY how I like my flights and border crossings to be! Boring is good in those cases. Not ALL boring, though. There was plenty of time to watch all of seasons 1 & 2 of Slow Horses- MI5 dram starring Gary Oldman, I wholeheartedly recommend it!

So very, very excited by the prospect of 9 hours on a plane. Then 9 more on another.
Looking like a seasoned traveler

It is grey and raining, which is just fine for our “duff day” – relaxing at the hotel, hydrating, kicking our jet lag to the curb. Tomorrow we are off, bright and early, for the first leg of our trip, exploring Ol Pejeta Conservancy.

A glass of wine…
And a beer at the end of a long day of flying.
Solidly crashed out
